ใครคือ Satoshi Nakamoto ?

23 เมษายน 2011 เป็นการปรากฎตัวครั้งสุดท้าย Satoshi Nakamoto เป็นการส่งอีเมล ถึง Gavin Andresen (นักพัฒนา Bitcoin ในยุคแรก) และนักพัฒนา Bitcoin คนอื่นๆ ในอีเมลฉบับนั้น Satoshi กล่าวเป็นนัยว่าเขากำลังก้าวออกจากโครงการและมอบหมายให้ชุมชนพัฒนา Bitcoin ต่อไป ข้อความสุดท้ายของเขามีใจความว่า:

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym used by an unknown individual or group of people who developed Bitcoin, created the whitepaper “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” in 2008, then launched the Bitcoin blockchain in 2009 and mined the network’s first block, known as the Genesis Block or Block 0.

A P2P Foundation profile in 2012 contained details identifying Nakamoto as a 37-year-old man residing in Japan, with a birthdate listed as April 5, 1975. Some believe that the date specified as his birthdate was intentionally used as a reference to Executive Order 6102, an executive order issued by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt on April 5, 1933, with the primary goal of prohibiting private gold ownership and forcing citizens to surrender their gold to the government, which completely contradicts the core concept of crypto, as the crypto system emphasizes financial freedom and decentralization.

April 23, 2011, marked the last known appearance of Satoshi Nakamoto, in the form of an email sent to Gavin Andresen (an early Bitcoin developer) and other Bitcoin developers. In that email, Satoshi implied that he was stepping away from the project and entrusting the Bitcoin development to the community. His last message read:

“I’ve moved on to other things. It’s in good hands with Gavin and everyone.”

Since then, there has been no further communication from Satoshi, and to this day, his identity remains a mystery.

1.Dorian Nakamoto: Dorian Nakamoto is a Japanese-American man whose birth name is “Satoshi,” which led the media and journalists to suspect him as the mysterious person using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. 2.Nick Szabo: Nick Szabo is the proposer of the “bit gold” concept, which is a concept similar to Bitcoin. Analysts found that Szabo’s writing style is very similar to Nakamoto’s. However, Szabo denied that he is Nakamoto and stated that he is used to being suspected of this.

3.Craig Wright: Craig Wright, an Australian academic, once claimed that he was Satoshi Nakamoto and received support from Gavin Andresen, a former core Bitcoin developer. However, when the evidence was examined and doubts were raised about its authenticity, even though a copyright application was filed for the Bitcoin Whitepaper, the United States Copyright Office clarified that this did not confirm that he was the creator of Bitcoin.

In March 2024, the High Court of the United Kingdom ruled that Craig Wright was not Satoshi Nakamoto, stating that he did not write the Whitepaper, is not the person using the name Satoshi Nakamoto, and did not create Bitcoin. Furthermore, in December 2024, Wright was found guilty of contempt of court and received a one-year suspended prison sentence for two years.

4.Hal Finney: Hal Finney was a cryptography expert before the Bitcoin era and was the first person to use Bitcoin software besides Nakamoto. Journalist Andy Greenberg analyzed the writing style and stated that Finney had the most similarities to Nakamoto. However, after interviews and data verification, Greenberg believed that Finney was telling the truth that he was not Nakamoto. Nevertheless, on August 28, 2014, Finney passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, due to complications from ALS, and the Alcor Life Extension Foundation cryopreserved his body.

5.Peter Todd: Peter Todd is a 39-year-old Canadian Bitcoin Core developer who is well-known in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community. He has played a significant role in Bitcoin development for many years and also serves as an advisor to various blockchain projects. This speculation was featured in the HBO documentary “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.”

However, Todd has explicitly denied this through social media platform X, both before and after the documentary aired. On October 9, 2024, he posted again that “he is not Satoshi Nakamoto” and added that “the documentary is amusing that a director known for QAnon documentaries is still pushing this idea.

Tracking Satoshi Nakamoto’s Wallets in Real-Time

Data from Arkham Intelligence has compiled information on Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallets, indicating that Satoshi holds 1.096 million coins, or approximately 5.22% of the total Bitcoin supply of 21 million coins. This holding is the largest amount held by any individual Bitcoin holder.

Upon observation, it can be seen that Satoshi’s Bitcoin wallets number in the thousands. It is estimated that he has more than 20,000 different wallets, which he uses a new wallet for to receive the reward for every block he mines. This is the reason why he has so many different wallets.
